For #TechniqueTuesday, consider this tip when you’re starting out. It comes from a very good set of videos on YouTube.

I’m starting this clip at a segment that highlights the beginning drill of dragging the poles:

  • One thing to remember: Do not hold the poles as you start the dragging exercise. You want to get comfortable with how much control of the poles you have with the gloves.
  • Notice also how, as the walker accelerates, the poles leave the ground on their own. At the end of the front swing, notice how the plant themselves for the walker.
