You may have heard the advice in this article about foods that aren’t particularly healthy, but it bears repeating. The problem, of course, is they taste so good.

Main point: “…we may be able to reduce the possibility of dementia by avoiding foods that can compromise our gut bacteria and weaken our memory and focus.”

More about it:

  • Foods that induce inflammation and don’t promote brain health, sharp thinking, and good decision-making:
    • Added sugars
    • Fried foods
    • High-glycemic-load carbohydrates
    • Alcohol
    • Nitrates

Why it matters: Nutrition is a major component of healthy behavior. Make sure to check with nutritional experts for advice.
