Hack your walk with Nordic Walking Guy’s 3 rules:

  1. Walk with purpose!
  2. Be consistent!
  3. Remember everything counts but not everything matters!

This article lists cardio exercises, but it only lists walking among the exercises. Most articles like this that I’ve read have the same approach: they tout walking but don’t seem aware of Nordic walking.

How can we raise awareness? One thing I’ve done is become Physical Activity Chair-elect for Alabama State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (ASAHPERD). I hope more people will become aware of Nordic walking as a result.
