I read an article about rowing that had terms and concepts similar to Nordic walking. It seemed we can learn from each other.
Main point: “…rowing offers a potent full-body workout.”
Rowing and Nordic walking:
- Both distribute workload across upper and lower body, keeping cardiovascular demand high without overstressing any one muscle group.
- Both can fit into endurance (longer, steady) or interval (short, intense) training frameworks, depending on goals.
- Both are efficient whole-body cardio activities that combine aerobic and muscular benefits in one workout.
I’ve enjoyed rowing, but I like getting outdoors with Nordic walking.
- The recommended duration of rowing is similar to that of Nordic walking.
- Nordic walking has a social component to a greater extent than rowing.
